ANNOUNCEMENTS

There are no announcements at this time.

            WEATHER POLICIES

The weather is obviously out of our control!  We will take every precaution to make sure your child is safe whether we have a thunderstorm or excessive heat.

Heat:   Camp is on if it is hot! We had a great camp during the draught of 1999. Please make sure your child has sunscreen & lots of water.  We are very conscious of the effect of heat on athletes, so we take numerous shade and water breaks throughout the day.

The Quickstick Lacrosse Camp, Inc. is NOT responsible for sunburn.

Special Sunscreen Note: On Tuesday and Wednesday the campers play Tiger Ball!  Everyone loves Tiger Ball, but it requires that male campers remove their T-shirt to use as a “tail”, thus they will only be wearing their camp tank-top jersey. Please have your child bring an extra shirt or extra sunscreen on those days, as they will need extra protection from the sun.

Financial Results of Heat: Refunds are not offered because a camper chooses NOT to attend camp due to the summer heat.

Rain:   Please use the following guidelines in the event of rain!

If you are unsure about the camp in relation to the weather please call either of the numbers listed below to hear our plans for the day or check the “Announcements” Section above.

Quickstick “Stop the Rain” Hotline: 267.250.3085
or 215.233.2911 ext. 4238

Below are some basic guidelines.

If it rains lightly, camp will continue as usually scheduled.

If camp has begun and a thunderstorm occurs, all campers will immediately be moved safely to the designated shelter area, where we will wait for the storm to pass so camp can continue.

If rain continues for 1 hour, camp will be suspended for the remainder of the day.

If the storm hits after 1:00 pm or 7:00 PM, camp will end for the day.

Please make arrangements to pick up your child in the event of a rain out.

If the forecast is calling for a full day of heavy rain, then camp that day is usually suspended. Call the Hotline if you are not sure. An email will also be sent by 10pm that night to announce camp’s cancellation for the following day.

If you choose not to send your child to camp due to rain, but camp is open, refunds will not be given.

Always call the rain hotline if you are ever in doubt!
